with the event Jennifer had the opportunity to participate in a series of  interviews, with the Vancouver METRO newspaper, CUTS magazine, OZONICO radio of Montreal and  received amazing reviews in fashion blogs like OLIOBYMARILYN besides appearing in international fashion magazine

Fashion Illustration Exhibition by Jennifer Somoza held at the Sidor Art

Gallery in Guayana City in Venezuela with the participation of Miss Turismo Venezuela 2015, Karen Aliberti.

 

The exhibition presents numerous designs, paper patterns, fashion accessories and illustrations that represent the complicated process of making a dress. From the start of the creation of the idea to the development of that concept and the evolution of the process to then arrive to the detailed final garment

The collection is inspired in the Venezuelan culture and landscapes

the materials used were mostly tropical colours silk, sack fabric and embellishments that remind us traces of native aborigine culture.

FONTANA

CONTEST

 

A handbag designed by Jennifer Somoza and inspired in Hollywood actresses and their dresses made by Sorelle Fontana atelier, one of the most important in Italian history. This Fashion Contest "Per i 100 anni di Micol Fontana" was held in Rome at Maxxi museum of contemporary arts, and Jennifer Somoza was one of the three Finalists in the category "bags"

The collection whisper of the dawn by Jennifer Somoza is inspired on the dress fauno, fairies and mystical creatures of dreamy adventures.

SOGNI DEL MADE 

IN ITALY 

 

The dress fauno participated in the exhibition "sogni del made in Italy" that was held in Slovakia, at the Bratislava Italian Embassy as the representation of the mastery in couture and tailored design of Jennifer's Alma mater fashion academy Koefia.

 

The Dress shared space with very famous fashion maisons like prada, gucci, fendi, versace, valentino and more.

MILAN DESIGN WEEK

 

Finalist for the Cappuci contest held in Milan at the design week 2013.

 

Organised by moda e modi and the Capucci foundation 

 

The accessory/Dress designed and manufactured by Jennifer Somoza is entirely made with a red colour pallette of straws all sewn by hand. The concept is not just the inspiration on the famous Italian designer Capucci and his dress called "spire" but also, is another way of seen the plisé technique, exploding its shape in three-dimensional.

FASHION SHOW 

 

Winner of Caracas Eco-fashion Show competition in 2009 organised by Alejandro Salimbeli at the "El Hatillo" shopping centre.

The collection of dresses designed by Jennifer Somoza are eco-friendly made using materials like garbage bags, pieces of used fabrics, plastics, sack , cables and old newspapers.
